Politics always attracted people with particular temperamental attributes. A superior politician has to watch over a lot of issues: clothes, face expression, motions and gestures, words and phrases. Folks become aware of every small error a politician makes. Customarily, politicians are educated, self-confident and trustworthy individuals. Moreover, they must be good leaders. Being assertive means to know exactly what your next step will be. Voters respect those politicians who don`t make leeway.

So, how can a political leader acquire respect from citizens? Initially, he must show that he values other folks and their nature. It will be a great compliment for them. But be careful because the majority of persons will feel insincerity in your words right away. You must always have enough information about everything going on around you. When you acknowledge someone`s success, be precise in facts. The slightest slip of the tongue will be immediately noticed.

Though, you can`t be `a good` leader always. At some time or other you will have to punish persons. But bear in mind: be consistent. Followers understand that punishment is the part of your work and your consistency will demonstrate it. Your reputation won`t be shaken.
